It could be just a small signal that wokeism in the corporate sector is peaking and maybe declining, after three major credit card companies said they had backed away from a plan to implement a new code to track purchases made with their cards at retail gun stores.

Progressives had pushed Discover, American Express, Visa, and MasterCard to create the codes, which conservatives correctly believe is yet another step toward the creation of a national firearm registry. The companies initially went along, and then stopped in their tracks, especially after lawmakers in various states introduced legislation to ban the use of the code in those states. That they blinked is important because the corporate world has been hypnotized by progressivism for the last decade, and especially so in the last few years.

Progressives, of course, have gone after the Second Amendment for a long time, and so it was no surprise that they would go after the rest of the Bill of Rights, especially the First Amendment. And when they did go after the First Amendment—full on once Biden became president—they enjoyed great success in getting the corporate sector to censor and cancel for them. And so, coming full circle, they began to use the corporate sector to slay the Second Amendment as well.
